1. What is an unfinished door?
- An unfinished door is a fully completed door without any paint and stain.
2. What are the types of wood used?
- We use tropical rain forest woods: Pallati, Meranti, Merbau, Mahogany, Maple, and their associated family.
3. What is the MC Value?
- MC Value is the moisture content of the wood. It varies depending on each individual market, mostly within 12-18%.
4. How to preserve moisture content of the wood?
- The woods are examined carefully before production. If open cut is noticed, wood sealer is immediately applied to maintain its moisture content.
5. What is our production capacity?
- 50,000 doors per month and the new extension at our current manufacturing site is under planning
6. What is a wooden engineering door?
- It is a solid wooden door with veneer, made by bonding block of solid woods together. The material for the core is the MDF (Medium Density Fiber Board).
7. What is the thickness of the veneer of our engineering door?
- 1.8 mm.
8. What is the advantage of the engineering door over the regular solid wooden door?
- It is considerably harder and more cost effective to make.
9. What is our business model?
- STI is a contracted manufacturer for many well known door manufacturers in the world. We also make doors in private label, build-to-order basis for builders and distributors in the commercial and residential markets.
